Kisspeptine
= Neuropeptide hypothalamique contrôlant la GnRH et donc indirectement la LH (luteinizing hormone) et la FSH (folliculo-stimulating hormone).
NOTE
La kisspeptine joue un rôle clé dans la reproduction. La synthèse d’un analogue (Kisspeptine C6) laisse entrevoir son utilisation dans la régulation du cycle des petits ruminants notamment en remplacement de l’eCG (Equine Chorionic gonadotropine).
Le terme "kisspeptine" vient de l'anglais "kiss" (baiser), faisant référence aux célèbres chocolats Hershey’s kisses.
